French storytime part two … Aloutte gentille Aloutte!

French storytime at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh Squirrel Hill branch occurred July 13 and toddlers huddled around their parents ready for another 30 minutes of French immersion. We had a large group of about 20 adults and children.

I think the librarian and I managed to teach the children some farm animals this time around!  We sang Le Vieille MacDonald and introduced some cute felt animals on the board.

Other songs and rhymes included 1,2,3 Allons Dans Les Bois,  Humpty Dumpty, Frère Jacques, Alouette and Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes.

The books we read were:

Are you Ready to Play Outside? / Veux-tu Jouer Dehors? By Mo Willems

Bear in a Square / L’ours dans le Carré by Stella Blackstone

Author: Kimberly Kweder
